Work has begun to identify a new brand name that will replace Doosan following the sale of Doosan Infracore to HD Hyundai (formerly Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings Co. HHIH) in August 2021. DEVELON will continue to focus on manufacturing construction equipment to build critical infrastructure to improve communities and societies in North America and beyond. DEVELON products and services will help customers and partners become industry leaders in construction, logging, recycling, mining, rental and agriculture. Today’s announcement is the first of many in a series of steps to launch the new brand. Visitors to CONEXPO-CON/AGG in March will see the next phase of the launch with newly branded construction equipment in the DEVELON outdoor exhibition. This will include the latest developments in the Concept-X autonomous equipment solution and live demonstrations at the outdoor exhibition in the Festival Grounds lot (F9153).

After CONEXPO, there will be continued efforts to promote the brand at the local dealer level by updating signs and machine decals. Customers are likely to start seeing re-branded machines at their local DEVELON dealerships and post locations as early as the end of Q2 2023.

In North America, DEVELON will continue to support its more than 180 dealer locations in the United States and Canada. DEVELON’s North American operations will remain headquartered near Atlanta, in Suwanee, Georgia, where the company continues to offer a training center for dealership service technicians.

The company will maintain exceptional parts availability through its two regional parts distribution centers: one in Atlanta and the other in the Pacific Northwest. A custom plant in Savannah, Georgia, will continue to play a key role in supplying machines to DEVELON dealers and customers: getting products into customers’ hands faster, with the configurations they need for their applications.

At a cost of US$39 billion, the travel time between Trondheim and Kristainsand will be reduced from 20 hours to 11 hours on the reconstructed Coastal Route E39. And a big part of this improvement is the Rogfast Tunnel, due to be completed in 2026. To be the longest and deepest submarine road tunnel in the world, it will be 27 kilometers long and 392 meters below sea level at its deepest point by him.

But building tunnels at this depth is a challenge. To make the journey as safe as possible for road users, the construction will include the construction of two separate tunnels for traffic flow.
